What the Fork is Lefty?

Lefty is Cannondale’s homegrown, single-sided suspension fork platform, created from tech we either made, or made better. After more than 20 years of refining it, we’re confident it’ll make you faster than ever.

What the Fork were we thinking?

We were thinking differently. Lefty was an evolution of our HeadShok fork design, dating back over 30 years, which uses a single shock in the headtube, and improves all sorts of things about front suspension. It works really well. For going really fast, Lefty works even better.

Why The Fork does it have one leg?

Because science. Lefty’s unique format evolved from experimentation. We learned that we could create a better blend of stiffness, lightness, smoothness, and strength with a single specially-designed leg, rather than a pair. When one is so good, you don’t need two.

What The Fork is it like to ride?

Unbelievably, mesmerizingly, deliciously smooth – thanks to our Delta Cage needle bearing technology. It replaces traditional bushings, simultaneously letting it compress with less friction while making it torsionally stiffer and more stable. Feel it and you’ll believe it.

What The Fork makes one leg better?

Physics. Lefty’s single-sided structure and needle bearing interface allow us to precisely tune the way it interacts with the trail – flexing in the right ways to give you compliance and control, but staying stiff in other ways for strength and precision. You’ll feel the difference everywhere it matters.

What The Fork is Ocho?

Lefty Ocho is our XC and Downcountry fork. It’s the first single crown, single-sided mountain bike suspension fork ever made, and the smoothest, most precise-handling ultralight fork out there. Oh, and it’s called Ocho because it’s the eighth iteration in the Lefty evolution.

Who The Fork is Oliver?

Lefty Oliver is our gravel bike suspension fork. Designed from the ground up specifically for the needs of gravel riders, it delivers more speed, more comfort, and more control whenever the road gets rough. If you ride all over, you should be riding Oliver.
